it’s easier to cut it half first cuz the shallot is round like a ball. When you cut it half first, it won’t roll when you cut the top and bottom parts. That’s to my understanding, but you can do watever you want and easy for you.
what is the difference in cutting in half the shallot first before cutting the top and bottom part, vs cut the bottom and top part before cutting it in half
